Lima Beads' Vintaj Spring Rain Contest is a wonderful opportunity to get creative with Vintaj Arte Metal components and a nice color palette of beads. To participate, you need to pick up a contest kit and use it to create an original design. There are two kits to choose from, and the colors are gorgeous:

When your masterpiece is complete, sign in to Lima Beads (free account required) and upload a photo to the design gallery. (Hopping in right now, you'll see some inspiration pieces by the designers at Vintaj).
Vintaj Arte Metal components are iron based (no nickel or lead) and have a rich, dark gray color that contrasts nicely with bright colors of beads. You can also alter Arte Metal using paint, alcohol ink, Gilder's Paste, or colored resin.
But don't be afraid to use the components as-is for the contest and let your beadwork be the focal point. If you know wirework, you can take that route, but you can also use beading wire, beadweaving, ribbon, leather, or cord. Let me know if you need help with any particular technique.
The three most popular designs in the gallery will be selected as winners, earning bragging rights and valuable gift certificates to use at Lima Beads. "Popularity" will be measured by a combination of number of views and number of times a design is "favorited."
